Can Hypnotherapy help with Anxiety and Panic Attacks?

Anxiety is a signal designed to enable us to deal with an immediate problem, giving us focus, energy and drive. This takes place on a subconscious level in the primitive part of the brain, where the “fight or flight” response is set off. This part of the brain is always on the lookout for threat and danger because its job is to keep us safe and ensure our survival.

We can also generate anxiety with an imagined threat, something that we are worrying about or that we feel we don’t have the resources to cope with. If the primitive mind becomes overstimulated by negative thinking, things can spiral out of control.

Anxiety can manifest in a huge variety of ways, causing problems both emotionally and physically. It can create unwanted habits and behaviours, cause physical symptoms such as headaches and IBS, and can result in insomnia and panic attacks.

Hypnotherapy works with the subconscious mind, reprogramming those unwanted patterns of thought and behaviour, to let you take back control of your thinking and your life.

What clients are saying:

“Hypnotherapy has been a wonderful experience, and has helped me get through so many things which I could never have done before. Larissa has given me a whole new perspective on my thoughts and worries which I will keep for life. I feel so much more confident which has made me feel a lot happier in everyday life.”

"I've had a life long experience of over stimulation from my senses. This has caused immense stress and frequent feelings of being overwhelmed. I'd developed many coping strategies, some practical, some not. I was recommended hypnotherapy with Larissa and it's been an incredibly positive experience.

I'm unable to visualise, so I initially thought hypnotherapy might not work so well for me. Larissa reassured me that visualisation wasn't necessary and explained (in a way I could understand) how the therapy works. It was eye opening finding out all the different applications for hypnotherapy.

After each session I felt a real feeling of my senses calming down and in turn, my whole way of experiencing the world, calming down. Each session built on the last and even though I haven't had any sessions for months, the feeling of calming down continues improving. The improvement to my wellbeing has been so positive and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend hypnotherapy to anyone."
